Hi, everyone! Welcome to my blog page!

A little bit about me... My name is Madeline! I am 18 years old; I just graduated high school with my AA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University. I was a competitive athlete for a little over seven years, and still absolutely love the sport of rowing. I enjoy photography, art, and baking! I also love to travel and have been to many amazing places. I have one older sister, and she is my biggest cheerleader in life! If you know me well enough, then you know I'm always talking about her!

Serving has always been an important part of my life, and it has led me to the World Race 4-month missions' program. One of my absolute favorite places I serve is Black Mountain, NC. I serve with Definition Church at the Black Mountain Children's Home. I've had the opportunity to help the Children's Home for many years now; it is simply one of the best places to serve. From gardening, to painting buildings, moving rocks, cleaning up hurricane damage, feeding hundreds of people, and setting up for their annual fall fundraisers, we have done it all at Black Mountain!

I will be blogging my adventures in Brazil, Costa Rica, and Jamaica through this site, so please stay tuned for those posts!

Okay! Now, for some information about the trip! It is four months long (Five months including training, but only four months outside of the U.S.), from January 17th to May 12th, 2027. Training for my trip will be in January! This will be out of state training, and the cost of it has been included in the trip total. After my group's training is complete, we will be heading off to our first country. We will be living in each country for a little over a month.

I am currently fundraising $7,795 for my trip! This is the entire cost (minus gear and supplies I will be purchasing) for my trip. Here's a quick look at what this cost covers:

1. All international flights needed for my trip.

2. Local transportation within each country I'll be in.

3. Budget for ALL of my meals.

4. Health insurance.

5. Training for the trip.
